I tried everything suggested, including resetting the printer to factory defaults 3 times.  The setup fails with the same error 

 

"Unable to register the printer to your account."

We might be experiencing a technical issue.

I tried everything suggested under "Get support." The message remains.  

 

The printer used to work, until one day it stopped. with the cryptic message "Check your HP account with more information." Well I checked, and my printer was not listed there!!  I used to have InstantInk, and that account disappeared!!

 

It is as if the printer is blacklisted and HP decided I need to buy a new one to make it work. 

 

The Virtual assistant is just garbage.  I am an HP employee and the lack of support is embarrassing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved.

My printer was blocked by HP because my credit card for Instant Ink was invalid.  InstantInk was on a different e-mail, so I had no clue what was going on.  As soon as I updated my billing the problem was resolved.  Whoever used this error code for something like that needs to have his head examined.
