Hi @Luke190,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When the "driver is unavailable" error appears for your HP Envy Photo 6200 series printer on your Lenovo laptops, it typically means the printer driver is either missing, corrupt, or incompatible. Here are steps to resolve the issue.

Step-by-Step Solution

Uninstall Previous Drivers:

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  • Find any HP printer software/drivers and uninstall them.

Download the Latest Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Enter your printer model (HP Envy Photo 6200 series).
  • Download the latest full feature driver for your operating system.

Install the New Driver:

  • Run the downloaded driver installation file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
  • Connect your printer to the laptop when prompted during the installation process.

Check Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Check for updates and install any available updates, especially any optional driver updates.

Add Printer Manually (if needed):

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Click Add a printer.
  • Follow the prompts to manually add your HP Envy Photo 6200 printer.

Additional Steps

Ensure Printer is Connected to the Same Network: Ensure your printer and Lenovo laptops are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Follow the instructions to troubleshoot and fix issues.

If the Issue Persists

Try an Alternative Connection Method:

  • If you're using Wi-Fi, try connecting the printer via USB to see if it works.
  • Alternatively, try connecting via Ethernet if the printer supports it.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block printer connections. Temporarily disable them and see if the issue is resolved.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "driver is unavailable" issue and connect your HP Envy Photo 6200 printer to your Lenovo laptops.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
