Got scanner to work ???  Went to system preferences/ sharing/ put check mark next to printer sharing/ selected printer from list on right menu/ click on open printers & scanners preference/ then open scanner/ make sure to select all from edit menu and check setting on right side menu/ then click on scan / did not use hp easy scan !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much! this actually helped a lot. One question though: how can I add more documents without finishing the scan session so that they will all be saved as one file?
