Hello,

My HP officejet pro 8620 used to work just fine but recently my laptop is saying that the printer drivers are not working.  I've used the HP support website to download the printer drivers (HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers) but my laptop keeps saying that it is not possible to install the drivers. I currently cannot print anything - does anyone know how to overcome this issue (other than buying a new printer)?

Thank you for reaching back. Here’s the guidance for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 driver installation issue:

Steps to fix

1. Uninstall All HP Printer Software

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Remove all HP printer-related entries.
  • Restart your computer.

2. Use HP App


3. Install Full Feature Software


4. Add Printer Manually (If Needed)

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner.
  • If not detected, choose the printer that I want isn’t listed → Add by IP address.


5. Firmware Update

  • From the same HP support page, check for firmware updates for your printer.
  • Install and restart the printer.
