Product: Hp Officejet pro 8730
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Running windows 10 64 bit. Originally tried to scan a document running the hp 8730 printer executable on my desktop.  Could not find scanner.  Hp print doctor showed when run against scanner that a driver check error.  Printer could print at this point.   Tried uninstalling software and reinstalling, then running config at network setting selecting wired ethernet printer could not be found.  tried removing all software and printer drivers using printui and rebooted.  did not work.  tried a number of steps including sfc /scannow which comes back clean.  another pc with windows 10 64 bit cannot scan either since software installed already and I will not remove it for fear of not having any access to printer.  Tried to install software on a 3rd pc running windows 10 64 bit, same problem not finding printer during setup.  Windows 2004, build 19041.330

Hi,

Please swipe down the top gray bar on the printer screen and tap the Ethernet or Wireless icon, what is the exact IP Address listed for your printer?

 

On your PC, right-click the network or wireless icon and select Open Network & Internet settings, click on Properties and clarify the exact IP address listed for your PC.

 

Additionally, is the printer connected wirelessly or with an ethernet cable?
