I upgraded my macOS to Big Sur 11.2 from Catalina and reconnected the printer to the system. It can print but I found no ways to run the printer's full features I used before. I am particularly looking for fast print (back/white) and the liked basic ink-save modes. I need to activate the scanning function too. I did use those features before as I had the printer for 7 years. But I cannot see them anywhere now.
The current driver version automatically installed by macOS is 2.3, but the HP Smart App cannot find the printer.
Any help will be appreciated!

@FrancesSL, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand your concern. However, there is no printer driver available on the HP Support site for this model printer to work on macOS 11. This printer is not AirPrint compatible too.
However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hey, thank you for your help. I downloaded the driver but it still didn't work. I guess I can just go head to print in the ONLY mode my printer can function with now. HP smart is not identifying my printer even though the cable is connected. Would you please recommend a link for me to look up some family use printers that have drivers on macOS big sur?

You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers. All new printers support macOS 11. To verify, you may check its specifications before buying.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

New discovery
Hey. Kumar. I had a new discovery today regarding how to make my Photosmart C4680 fully works with macOS 11. Actually, it works on my new iMac with driver 3.3.2. version The reason it works is I actually migrated all the data from my old MacBook to iMac that runs macOS 11, so the driver got wrapped. However, when I erased all data on my old Macbook and upgraded it to macOS 11, driver 2.3 version was automatically installed.
Now I assume that as long as I can find driver 3.3.2, I can make it works too. But I couldn't find it anywhere, and I don't know how to elicit from my iMac system too. Is my assumption correct? Can you please help again?
Please see the following pics for how it works well on my iMac. Thank you!
