I am using W10 pro 64 bit and just purchased a HP7955E to replace my HP7520. I had a problem installing the HP Smart to setup the printer. Do I need a smart phone or pad to setup or use this printer? Somewhere in the information I have found indicates I need an externally powered hub. I have never heard of that. I was able to get some prints, but entire system is EXTREMELY slow. I used System Mechanic to clean up the system and get rid of all the old HP 7520 software and that did nothing. I believe the printer works with or in conjunction with the CLOUD. Is that the reason for the degrade in speed? The slowness is very apparent even when I turn the system on, takes long time for even the desktop icons to appear or even show items in the download file and others. Did I buy a piece of junk? In my various links to the HP help location it indicates I purchased the printer in October 2021 and only have 9 months left in my warranty. I just purchased it on Nov 4 last week. The box appeared to be new and unopened. HP assistance to really bad and that is a compliment. Help
