Can I use a USB port to connect new printer (HP 8135e) to Mac High Sierra 10.13.6? Printer shows it isn't compatible with my Mac. Or do I have to return the printer and find one comaptible with my Mac?

@Samual1234, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It looks like your HP 8135e printer is not compatible with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 based on the minimum system requirements listed by HP. The printer requires at least macOS 11 Big Sur or later to work properly. Specifically, the supported macOS versions are:

macOS 11 Big Sur

macOS 12 Monterey

macOS 13 Ventura

macOS 14 Sonoma

macOS 15 Sequoia

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
