I am not able to connect printer with my Mac book pro

I just went through the same issue yesterday with a MacBook Pro and an OfficeJet Pro 8210.  I was unable to connect it using the MacBook Pro’s Printer and Scanners app.  Every time I tried to add the printer I got an error saying the MacBook could not communicate with the printer.   Odd because iPrinters and Scanners added an HP Envy 5000 printer successfully.  I used the HP app to add the OfficeJet  printer and it also added it to the MacBook Pro.  I’m now able to print from the MacBook Pro.

The MacBook Pro is a 2022 with the M2 chip running macOS 26 Tahoe and I’m using the updated HP app as well.

Hope this solves the problem.
