I have now upgraded to a new PC running Win 11 and am unable to find a Win 11 compatible driver for my somewhat elderly HP PSC1402 on the HP website or anywhere else. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the current situation is in this regard?

This link provides instructions for using a Microsoft based driver to enable printing. Try this and post back if that does not work for you. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2224996-1993298-16

Hi @myriad16
Just adding another option to install your PSC 1400 printer...😊
Try the driver download from the next link:

Hello. Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately I've been there already with no success. When trying to contact HP Suppt I can't get past the "identify your device" step because the serial No. is not recognised. I think they are deliberately suppressing contact for old devices. My printer and USB lead is operating normally on an older Win 10 PC. So no H/W uncertainties. No Win11 driver available is probably consistent with what I've just said. I've already spent hours on this and my lifelong admiration of HP products and service is going thro' the floor! Any ideas as to how I could get connected to a real tech chat person without being blocked at step 1? I think the probable answer is going to be Win11 driver? : maybe sometime or never. At least I would know!
