HP Officejet Pro 9125e.
During the startup process and after each print job, the printhead makes several extra moves that I assume is a re-positioning process. The process makes the printer shudder, and some gears seem to lock up or try to jump off their track. It's noisy.
It prints and scans fine (I don't use the fax).
Anybody else have the same problem?

- Clear the Area: Ensure there are no loose pieces of paper or objects that could be causing the grinding noise.
2. Examine the Printhead and Cartridges
- Remove and Reinstall the Cartridges: Turn off the printer, remove the ink cartridges, and gently clean the printhead area with a lint-free cloth. Reinstall the cartridges securely.
- Check for Damage: Look for any signs of damage to the printhead or cartridges.
3. Reset the Printer
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 5 minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Factory Reset: If the grinding noise persists, consider resetting the printer to factory settings. Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to do this.
4. Update Firmware
- Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.
5. Check Printer Level
- Ensure that the printer is on a level surface. An uneven surface can sometimes cause mechanical issues.
