Hi! I'm using the HP app in my xiaomi tablet for printing (my printer is HP smart tank 580) and my concern is how do I customize the print sizes? There's a 5x7 option but I need 5x8 and that is a big difference for me. It's available in macbook but not in mobile

Hi @leirabince

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I’m sorry for the difficulty you’re facing with customizing print sizes on your Xiaomi tablet using the HP App. I understand how important it is to have the exact size you need, and I appreciate the effort you’ve already made in checking the available options.

On mobile devices, the HP App provides preset sizes, but you can often work around this by adjusting the paper size and scaling options before printing. Here are some steps you can try:

  • Open the document or photo you want to print and select the print option through the HP App.
  • In the print settings, check if “Paper Size” or “More Settings” is available. Choose the closest option (such as A5 or custom if supported).
  • If custom size is not directly listed, use the “Fit to Page” or “Scale” option to adjust the content so it prints correctly on 5x8 paper.
  • Ensure that the printer tray is loaded with 5x8 paper and that the paper guides are snug to avoid misalignment.
  • If you are printing from a Windows PC, you can create a custom paper size through the printer properties and then save it for repeated use.

Would you like me to also share the steps for creating a custom paper size on Windows, so you can set it up once and then use it whenever you print from your laptop?
