Why has HP made it so hard to scan a document?! Why do I need to have wifi, install an app, log in, all before I can scan a Sam’s document?!?!?! I have a cable, a laptop, and power and isn’t that enough?!?!
Now that the app crashing my Mac, it is impossible to scan. It’s extremely frustrating!!! Even posting a question on this **bleep** forum is made complicated! Why do I have to do two stupid puzzles before i could log in?!?!?! You guys need to seriously work on your UI. I cannot believe I’ve wasted so many minutes of my life just to NOT be able to scan one page of A4. Can someone please cancel this HP smart app so the printer/scanner can connect directly to my mac for operating?? THANKS PLEASE FIX THIS NOW!!

Hi @COME_ON,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you are experiencing crashes with the HP Smart app on your Mac, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Update the app: Check for updates in the App Store to make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app. If an update is available, install it and see if the issue persists.
- Restart your Mac: Sometimes, simply restarting your Mac can resolve software issues.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app: If updating the app doesn't help, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it from the App Store.
- Check for conflicting software: Make sure there are no other software programs running on your Mac that may be conflicting with the HP Smart app. You can check this by opening the Activity Monitor app and looking for any processes that may be causing issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
