My LaserJet p1606dn would not print today. I have had it for over 6 months running just fine under Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, which I keep up to date. I just installed build 17134.319.
I removed the printer from Windows 10 Settings and uninstalled the software - successfully. I rebooted, then tried to install the software whech I've downloaded from the HP site for Windows 10. When I run it, even in Administrator mode, it runs thru "extracting files" and stops after that seems to reach 100% . Nothing after that.
I've let Windws 10 detect and install the printer, but it doesn't have two-sided capabilities with this installation.
How do I get the HP software to work? It had worked before!

Hi @BHNNick,
Make sure you run the HP Installation prior trying to launch the file, without running the installation file first such an error would occur as the install files do not exist on the computer:

This worked perfectly as I had not been able to print anything but single sided letter after hooking this printer up to a new HP Windows 10 desktop. Too bad the HP driver updates don't accomplish this. THANK YOU! you deserve the expert level for sure.
