HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005w Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to enable HP Web Services on my HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005w printer. When I access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) using its IP address (http://192.168.0.111), I navigate to the "HP Web Services" tab and select "Web Services Settings".

However, the page only shows:
"Web Services Status: Disabled"
There is no option to enable it or proceed further.

I have attached a screenshot of the Web Services Settings page for reference.

@Bhavik05, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Based on the image and your description, The "Web Services Status" is shown as Disabled, and there is no visible button or link to enable it on the Embedded Web Server (EWS) page.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you enable HP Web Services on your HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005w printer:

Step 1: Check Firmware Version

Sometimes, older firmware may not show the "Enable Web Services" button. To update:

  • Go to the EWS > System > Firmware Update tab.
  • If available, update the firmware.
  • Alternatively, visit Official HP® Support and search for your printer model.

Step 2: Reset Web Services

Try resetting Web Services via the EWS:

  1. Go to HP Web Services > Web Services Settings.
  2. If no "Enable" button is visible, try accessing Proxy Settings and ensure no proxy is interfering.
  3. If still stuck, perform a Web Services reset:
    • Go to EWS > System > Restore Defaults.
    • Select Restore Web Services Settings only (not full factory reset).
    • Reboot the printer and revisit the EWS.

Step 3: Enable via Control Panel (if available)

If your printer has a physical control panel:

  • Tap the Wireless icon or Settings.
  • Navigate to Web Services Setup.
  • Choose Enable Web Services.

Step 4: Use HP Smart App (Alternative Method)

You can also enable Web Services using the HP Smart app:

  1. Download HP Smart on your PC or mobile. HP Smart
  2. Add your printer.
  3. Go to Advanced Settings > Web Services.
  4. Enable Web Services from there.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
