HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer - E709a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Officejet 6500 and lost my driver cd. The driver's not available so I downloaded HP123 but it doesn't see my printer. My printer works from my laptop, but I want to be able to use the scanner. Is there a solution or another application I can use?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to scan from your printer, I am glad to assist you.

There is no full feature driver available for this printer model connected with Windows 10 operating system.

You might have to downgrade the operating system or upgrade the printer to use the scanner feature.

I hope that helps.

Hi,

Please try scanning using the Windows Scan app:
