is there a printer driver for HP1500 desk jet using windows 11 ? or is it incompatible ?

You can try the following steps to install the printer.

1. Visit the official HP website and search for drivers for the HP Deskjet 1500 series compatible with Windows 10.
2. Download the drivers and save them to your computer.
3. Right-click on the downloaded driver file and select "Properties."
4. In the Properties window, navigate to the "Compatibility" tab.
5. Check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 10" from the dropdown menu.

Hi Alden and thanks very much for the reply. So the HP website does not list a Deskjet1500 driver even for windows 10. I went back to windows 8 and only found a patch to download. They do have a HP print/scan doctor to download which I did but it was not much help. It can see my HP1500 then when I click on "get installer" it goes to an HP "page cant be reached".

I went through various other device setting screens in windows fumbling around and one said "proper interface already loaded on computer" or something to that effect, but when I try to add printer, it cannot find the deskjet 1500.

Any other thoughts ? Can you verify the HP site still has a driver for windows 10 and if so provide a link for it ?
