HP3630 Printer Drivers

I need to install my drivers on the HP3630 printer.  How do I do this?

Download the Drivers from HP Website

1. Open your browser and go to the HP Support Website:
   👉 HP Software and Drivers
2. In the search bar, type HP DeskJet 3636 and press Enter.
3. Select your Operating System (Windows 11) if not detected automatically.
4. Click Download next to the HP Smart App or Full Feature Software and Driver.
5. Save the file to your Downloads folder.

Install the Drivers

1. Locate the downloaded driver file (.exe format) and double-click it.
2. Click Yes if prompted by User Account Control.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
4. Choose Wireless, USB, or Network setup when prompted.
5. Complete the installation and restart your computer.

Connect Your Printer

For USB Connection:

1. Plug one end of the USB cable into the printer and the other into your PC.
2. Windows should detect and install the printer automatically.
3. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners to check if it's listed.

For Wireless Connection:

1. Make sure your printer and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer until it starts blinking.
3. Open the HP Smart app and click Add Printer.
4. Select your printer and follow the instructions.

Set as Default Printer

1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
2. Select HP DeskJet 3636 and click Set as default.

Test the Printer

1. Open Notepad or Microsoft Word.
2. Type anything and click File > Print.
3. Select HP DeskJet 3636 and click Print.

Troubleshooting (If Installation Fails)

• Ensure Windows is up to date by going to Settings > Windows Update.
• Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Download Here).
• Restart your printer, router, and PC.
• Try installing drivers using Windows Update:
  • Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.
