Hi @Tim2868,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP 6001 printer, after printing 68 pages, is experiencing an issue where the print heads are not detected. There are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the problem:

Check Print Head Installation: Ensure that the print heads are correctly installed and seated properly. Sometimes removing and reinstalling the print heads can resolve detection issues.

Run a Print Head Cleaning: Utilising the printer's maintenance menu, run a print head cleaning cycle. This can unclog nozzles that may be causing detection issues.

Print Head Health Check: Perform a nozzle check or a print head health diagnostic. This can sometimes clear up errors related to print head detection.

Manual Cleaning: Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water to clean the print heads manually. Gently clean around the heads, as demonstrated in resources for similar HP printer models. Be cautious to avoid damage to the print head nozzles.

Replace the Print Heads: If cleaning does not resolve the issue, the print heads might be faulty and may require replacement.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
