macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Dear community

I have recently purchased a MacBook Pro (OS Big Sur 11.6) but I think I need to adjust the printer drivers.  I use a HP DeskJet 840C Printer that still works perfectly but does not respond to the print command. That is, the Macbook confirms it is sending data to the printer, but then nothing happens on the printer’s side.

 

I hope this does not mean I have to buy a new printer when the present one works perfectly well?  

My computer literacy is rather limited and I really hope someone will be able to help me 🙂

So... my computer literacy is better than I thought. Was able to solve this myself.
