Product: OJ Pro 8600 Plus
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Disappointed to learn that a 16 yr old vulnerability has been found in some HP printer software. Seems not to involve older 8600 Plus Pro N911 series.  Also hoping that the NEW 1910-A  firmware will not restore dynamic security requirement for HP chips in the OLD 8600 Pro:  still a super printer when left alone!

 

Any thoughts or fact checks would be welcomed.

Hi,

An HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer is not affected by CVE-2021-3438, it affects select HP Laser and Samsung printers only as listed by below support document, it doesn't affect any Inkjet printer as the 8600
