Hi @WES-MP,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering a "driver unavailable" error when installing your HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e printer, here are some steps to resolve the issue.

Download and Install the Latest Driver

  • HP Support Website: Visit the HP Support page for the 9730e and download the latest driver for your printer model.
  • Follow the Installation Steps: After downloading, run the installation file and follow the prompts to install the printer driver.

Check Windows Update

  • Sometimes Windows can automatically find and install missing drivers through updates:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates to see if any printer-related drivers are available.

Use HP Smart App

  • Download the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store or directly from HP's website.
  • Open the app and follow the prompts to add your HP 9730e printer. This app can also handle driver installations automatically.

Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP Support page.
  • Run the tool to automatically diagnose and resolve driver issues.

Manually Add the Printer

  • If the automated methods do not work, you can manually add the printer in Devices and Printers:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Click Add a Printer and follow the on-screen steps.
    • Select your printer from the list or manually enter its IP address if connected to the network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
