Welcome to HP Support Community

May I know what exactly is the issue?

The process known as HPSSFupdater.exe belongs to the software HPSSF Updateor HPAsset Component for HP Active Support. The HPSSFUpdater.exe is not essential for the Windows operation. You can uninstall the entire program HP Asset component for HP Active Support from the Windows Control Panel

Keep me posted if you need further assistance 😊

Hello Krazy Toad,

Thanks for the reply.  I have been experiencing Netframe errors on my Windows 10 PC and the error message indicates that it is related to the  HPSSFUpdater.UpgradeUpdater.  If that program is not required how can I delete it to see if that resolves this intermittent error.

Thanks Modelaman

I followed your directions and found an app called HP Support Solutions Framework.  It would not uninstall becauseit says HP Support Assistant needs it.  Then I successfully uninstalled  HP Smart Assist (I think).  HP Solutions Framework still ouln not uninstall for the same reason.  Can’t find the dependent app. Should I uninstall HP Update?  My Laptop is not an HP.

Thanks

If you are not using an HP Laptop then the issue could be due to the HP Support Assistant. You can try uninstalling the HP Update and HP Support Assistant too if required.

Thank you
