Hi @sandippatel,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I see you would like to reset your HP Deskjet 2544.

Please get started in Step 4 here: Wireless Printer Setup (Windows)

I saw this and tried it a couple of times, it doesn't reset the printer so it still has a password block and I can't connect or even change any of the settings in the EWS. Any other way to reset it?

@sandippatel,

That is the only way to reset the printer. I suggest contacting our technical support at http://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp if you are unable to restore the network defaults. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html

Thank you for your persistence. I hope this helps!

You can try to do a restore factory default through EWS.

How am I supposed to get access to EWS if i dont know the password when ive tried to connect with airprint and wireless direct. Each time it asks for a password so i cant access the printer to change any settings.

I had a similar problem with a deskjet printer 3720.

After searching for a long I finally discovered that the admin passwords of the printer only allow passwords up to 16 characters (never got any warning about it though). As my password was longer I was finally able to login when I entered the 16 first characters of it.

HTH!
