Hi!

The network connection stopped working and I wanted to restore the printer to factory settings — a so-called hard reset — because the printer is asking for a password that I never set.

@Darius66pl, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Hard Reset for HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your network connection is not working and you want to perform a hard reset, follow these steps to restore your printer to factory settings:

Steps to Reset the Printer:

Turn off the printer: Ensure the printer is turned on before proceeding with the reset steps.

Disconnect the power cord:

  • While the printer is powered on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Wait: Allow the printer to be unplugged for 60 seconds to clear any leftover charge.

Reconnect the power cord:

  • Plug the power cord back into a wall outlet directly, as this is recommended by HP for optimal performance.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
