I have an older iPhone 6. It will not download the 2800 series hp deskjet printer software to allow me to send the printing via my phone. Does anyone know if there is a older version I can download that the phone will accept? Thank you very much. Hope somebody's got an answer. Cheers!

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Software Compatibility: Ensure that your iPhone 6 is running a compatible iOS version for the HP Smart app, which is typically required to manage printing from HP devices. The HP Smart app requires iOS 13.0 or later.

App Store Access: Search for and download the HP Smart app from the Apple App Store. If your iOS version is outdated and doesn’t support this app, it may not be available for download.

Use AirPrint: If downloading the app is not possible, your iPhone can use Apple's AirPrint feature. This is a built-in feature that allows direct wireless printing from iOS devices. Ensure your printer supports AirPrint, which should be available in most HP printers. Simply connect your iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer and tap the Share button on a document or photo to find a print option.

Alternative Devices: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider using a different device that is fully compatible with the latest software updates to manage your printer setup.
