Hi @Badeb3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your new HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e All-in-One Printer won’t connect to your HP desktop running Windows 10, especially when you're eager to get printing started. Let’s walk through the steps to help you get connected smoothly.

Setup Steps for OfficeJet Pro 8139e

Step 1: Install the HP App

HP Smart is the easiest way to connect your printer to your desktop.

  1. Download the HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Open the app and create or sign in to your HP account (required for HP+ printers).
  3. Click “Add Printer” and follow the on-screen instructions.

📌 Tip: Make sure your desktop is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

Step 2: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

If the printer isn’t detected:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer for 5 seconds.
  2. The blue wireless light should start blinking. This means it’s in setup mode.
  3. Retry setup in the HP Smart app.

Step 3: Check Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click “Add a printer or scanner”.
  • If your printer appears, click it and select “Add device”.

If it doesn’t appear, try restarting your desktop and printer, then retry.

Step 4: Download Full Drivers (Optional but Recommended)

You can also install the full driver package from HP’s official site:

I hope this helps.
