@Bonnie1213, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Getting Started with Your HP Tango Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you haven't used your HP Tango printer in a while and need assistance to start using it again, follow these steps to ensure a smooth process:
Check Power and Connection:
- Ensure the printer is plugged in and powered on.
- Check that the wireless connection is active if you're using it wirelessly.
Reset Wireless Settings (if needed):
- On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the Edge lighting flashes blue.
- This will reset the wireless settings and prepare the printer to reconnect to your network.
Connect to Wireless Network:
- If you have the HP Smart app, open it on your mobile device.
- Click “Connect a new printer” (you might need to click the plus sign first), and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer.
- If not using the HP Smart app, you can connect using WPS:
- Press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds on the printer until the Edge lighting flashes blue.
- On your router, press the WPS button for 3 to 5 seconds to begin the WPS connection process.
Updating Drivers and Software:
- Go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Download and install the latest printer driver for your operating system, then follow the setup instructions to ensure the printer is correctly configured.
Perform a Test Print:
- Load plain white paper into the input tray.
- Print a test page to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
