I have Mac Sequoia OS.  WhenI instal  my new toner cartridge I get error 11-  when I try to update software I can't get past closing OS which is only windows options

Try these steps:

Install HP Smart App: Make sure to install the HP Smart app on your Mac, which is compatible with your printer. This app can help in setting up the printer and updating its firmware.

Check Driver Compatibility: Ensure that you have the correct printer drivers installed for your Mac OS. You can visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers that are compatible with Mac Sequoia OS.

Reset the Printer: Try resetting your printer. Turn it off, unplug it, and wait for about a minute before plugging it back in and turning it on again.

Clear Printer Error: Check the printer for any hardware errors. Ensure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly and that there are no obstructions in the printer.

Update Firmware via Web Interface: If possible, access the printer's embedded web server through its IP address and check for firmware updates directly without using the OS-based update utility.
