Hi @cottino,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand you are receiving the "Scan to Computer is no longer activated" notification and want to disable it, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Disable Control Panel Scan Button Functionality

  1. In Windows, search for and open Task Manager.
  2. Click on Startup apps.
  3. Right-click on ScanToPCActivationApp.
  4. Select Disable.
  5. Restart your computer.

Uninstall HP Printer Assistant and Install the HP App

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click on Uninstall a program.
  3. Find and select HP Printer Assistant from the list, then choose to uninstall it.
  4. Download and install the HP app.

Go to Scan Settings

  1. In HP Printer Assistant, click Scan → Manage Scan to Computer.

Turn Off Scan to Computer

  1. In the dialog box, uncheck Enable Scan to Computer.
  2. Also uncheck Show Scan to Computer at startup if available.
  3. Click OK or Apply to save changes.

Confirm

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. The notification should no longer appear.

Take care and have an amazing day!
