Hi @Vivianbonika,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I can imagine how frustrating it must be to be unable to connect to the internet, especially when it’s critical for work and everyday tasks. Let’s go through some steps to get your Intel AX201 network adapter back up and running.
- Have you noticed any recent updates or changes to your system that may have triggered this issue?
- Does the device manager show any error or warning symbol next to the network adapter?
- Have you tried restarting your laptop or the router to see if that helps resolve the issue temporarily?
Let's try these steps.
Re-enable the Network Adapter:
- Open Device Manager (right-click the Start menu and select Device Manager).
- Expand the Network adapters section, right-click the Intel(R) AX201 160MHz network adapter, and select Enable device if it is disabled.
Uninstall and Reinstall the Network Driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click the Intel(R) AX201 160MHz network adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the correct driver.
- If Windows doesn’t reinstall the driver, download the latest version from Intel’s official website and install it manually.
Update the Driver via Device Manager:
- Right-click the Intel(R) AX201 160MHz network adapter in Device Manager and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software to let Windows find and install the most recent version.
Check Windows Network Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Internet Connections and run the troubleshooter. Follow the prompts to automatically detect and fix any network issues.
Reset Network Settings:
- Press Windows + I to open Settings, then go to Network & Internet > Status.
- Scroll down and click on Network reset.
- Click Reset now and restart your laptop. This will reset all network settings to their default, which may resolve underlying issues.
