When running Windows Update on a system running Windows 10 or 11, the following driver update appears on the list of recommended updates:

Hewlett-Packard - USB - 4/8/2019 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.237

If the update is downloaded and installed, it reappears again...and again...and again...and again...and again: it NEVER successfully installs and reappears on the list.

Numerous posts on the web (including in this form) highlight this issue. The forum posts on this site are repeatedly locked/closed WITHOUT A SOLUTION.

I've tried calling your support line - your staff are unable to resolve this and choose to blame Microsoft for your driver issues. I've installed the full driver solution for my product and updated the device firmware to the latest version: the problem persists. I encounter this issue on multiple machines running Windows 10 and 11.

Drivers for this printer are your company's responsibility, not Microsoft's. It reflects poorly on HP when this occurs and you refuse to address the issue. This ensures that I will not purchase HP products again.

Please be professional and provide a solution before you lose another customer to your competitors.
