Hello, I've bought a HP Tango printer from my friend. He has never used it in wireless mode since new and the original cartridges came with the printer is no longer around. I tried to setup this printer with HP Smart app to use its wireless functions. However the apps ask for setup cartridges to be able to print and scan, which I don’t have these cartridges. Can you please tell me how to bypass this step?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
We will have to perform an OOB reset on the printer to resolve this issue. But, you have to have regular HP ink cartridges.

If you do not have them, you can get a replacement printer from where you bought it or from HP.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
