I can’t seem to reset or delete a laser jet M240we printer in my HP Smart app. I’m trying to register for instant ink. 

I can see it in my accounts page, and when I process an ink account it Says that it belongs to another account. 

I bought it off eBay ‘as new’. Is there any way I can delete / completely reset it so that I can use it?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. 

 

To delete a printer from your HP Smart account, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  2. Tap on the printer you want to delete.
  3. Tap on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  4. Scroll down and tap "Remove Printer."
  5. Confirm that you want to remove the printer by tapping "Yes" when prompted.

Once you have confirmed the removal, the printer will be removed from your HP Smart account and will no longer be visible in the app.
