How do I speed up the printing on the printer?

Hi @revwong,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

To help speed up printing on your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e, here are some effective troubleshooting steps:

Change Print Quality Settings:

  • Go to the print settings on your computer.
  • Select Draft or Fast Draft mode instead of high-quality printing, as this uses less ink and prints faster.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support Page to check for and install the latest firmware updates for your printer.
  • Outdated firmware can slow down performance.

Reduce Print Job Complexity:

  • Simplify the content being printed, such as reducing the resolution of images or using standard fonts and sizes.

Check Network Connection:

  • If printing wirelessly, ensure the printer has a strong connection to your Wi-Fi network. A weak signal can cause delays.
  • Consider moving the printer closer to the router or using a wired connection if possible.

Perform Regular Maintenance:

  • Run the printer’s maintenance tools to clean and align the printhead.
  • Ensure there are no paper jams or debris that could slow down printing.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both the printer and your computer to clear any temporary issues that could be affecting speed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
