My brother gave me his HP Envy 6455e
printer but I want to add it to my Smart App but it is on his.
He does not have the account to remove it - is there a way that I can reset without the smart app so that I can use the printer on my wifi?

Hi @MeMJ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To add your HP Envy 6455e printer to your WiFi without using the Smart App or your brother's account, you can follow these general steps:
Factory Reset the Printer:
- A complete product reset will clear all your personal data, settings, and network information from the printer. With the cartridge access door open, press and hold the Power button for at least five seconds.
Connect to WiFi:
- Once the printer is reset, it will no longer be associated with your brother's WiFi network.
- Use the printer's display panel (if available) to navigate through the settings and connect it to your WiFi network.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your WiFi credentials.
Install Printer Drivers:
- On your computer or mobile device, download and install the necessary printer drivers from the HP website.
- During the installation process, choose the option to set up a new printer and follow the instructions. Click here
Print a Test Page:
- After successfully connecting the printer to your WiFi and installing the drivers, print a test page to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
