I have tried without success  to connect the Samsung Xpress M2026W to my Mac.

The serial number is

Edited

But the serial number is not recognised by HP on this website.

I have tried AirPrint, wireless and USB methods but  I have no success.

Given that I can't connect via AirPrint I will need to install the printer using a driver, but  I can't find updated drivers on HP.

I would appreciate your support!

@Ros210, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To connect your Mac to a Samsung Xpress M2026W printer, you may need to manually download and install the appropriate driver since AirPrint or standard wireless methods have not been successful. Here are steps you can follow:

1. Download the Driver

I suggest you visit the HP Official website to download the drivers: Samsung Xpress SL-M2026W Laser Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

2. Connect via USB

  1. Install the Printer Driver: Start by downloading the correct printer driver suitable for your macOS version.
  2. Install the Software: Follow the installation instructions that come with the driver software.
  3. Connect to Printer: Connect your Samsung Xpress M2026W printer to your Mac using a USB cable.
  4. Add Printer: Once the driver is installed, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Click the '+' sign to add a new printer.
  5. Select USB: From the list of available printers, select the Samsung Xpress M2026W connected by USB.
  6. Choose Driver: Select the appropriate driver from the list. If you have installed the driver correctly, it should appear as an option.

3. Connect via Wireless (Alternative Method)

If USB installation does not work, consider the wireless setup components, ensuring your printer is connected to the same network as your Mac. You might need to follow these steps:

  1. Printer Settings: Use the printer's control panel to access network settings and ensure Wi-Fi Direct or other wireless options are enabled.
  2. Manual Printer Addition: Follow similar steps to add a printer in your Mac's system preferences but choose network options if available.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
