HP ENVY 6030e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer doesn't work.

It jumps off the WiFi connection randomly and wont reconnect whatever I try. Restarting, resetting, reinstalling software, return to factory condition, nothing has worked in the long run. The printer might reconnect for one session, but the next day I turn it on, the connection issues might begin all over once again.

What is worse, even when it is connected, the printer wont print anything but 'Printer Information Reports', telling me that it "cannot print". Well, I sort of knew that.

I have searched and searched for solutions on this and I have reached the conclusion, that the problem is caused by the HP+ status itself. I never wanted an Instant Ink subscription, and have never activated it neither.

Now, how do I deactive the HP+ status, and get an ordinary HP status?

What should I do?

Right now, I feel I have wasted money buying an HP printer, and also a lot ! of precíous time that has been unproductive.

Hi @Denmark_Guy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Deactivating the HP+ status on your HP ENVY 6030e All-in-One printer can be tricky, as HP+ is a feature that's tied to specific benefits like Instant Ink and cloud-based printing. However, if you're looking to revert to regular HP status without HP+ features, here are the key steps you can take:

1. Cancel HP+ Subscription (If Enrolled):

  • If you are subscribed to HP Instant Ink as part of the HP+ program, you’ll need to cancel the subscription:
    • Log in to your HP Instant Ink account at HP Instant Ink website.
    • Go to the Account Settings and follow the process to cancel the subscription.

2. Factory Reset the Printer:

  • Performing a factory reset can revert the printer to its original settings, potentially removing the HP+ status:
    • From the printer control panel, navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore to Factory Defaults.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the printer. This will erase any custom settings, including HP+.

3. Disable Web Services:

  • HP+ relies on web services for certain features like automatic updates and cloud printing. Disabling web services may help reduce some of the HP+ features:
    • Go to the printer control panel or the HP Smart app.
    • Navigate to Settings > Web Services and turn off or disable the feature.

4. Reinstall Printer Without HP+:

  • Uninstall the printer from your computer (go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and remove the device).
  • Reinstall the printer drivers from the HP Support website but choose to skip HP+ setup during the installation process.
    • This may allow you to use the printer in a standard HP mode without HP+ features.

If you’re unable to deactivate HP+ using the steps above, it’s recommended to contact HP phone support directly for further assistance on deactivating the HP+ status.

Keep in mind that once HP+ is activated, it may not be possible to fully revert to a non-HP+ status without certain limitations.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Thank you for your response.

I have tried some of these things, but not all. I will try to go through every step, and see if it solves the problem.

Btw. How do I know when my HP+ status has been deactivated? How can I even be sure that I have HP+ in the first place? I am not 100% sure. It was just my best guess.

Hi @Denmark_Guy,

To confirm and deactivate HP+ on your HP ENVY 6030e printer, follow these steps:

1. Check if Your Printer is Enrolled in HP+

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device (or go to the HP account page online).
  • Go to your printer's settings or status. If the printer is listed as HP+ or has features like HP Instant Ink (and shows the HP+ logo), then your printer is enrolled in HP+.
  • Look for the HP+ dashboard or status under the printer details for confirmation.

You’ll know that HP+ is deactivated when:

  • Instant Ink or HP+ features are no longer active in the HP Smart app.
  • You no longer receive HP+ benefits such as extended warranties or Instant Ink services.

If you aren't enrolled, the HP+ features will not appear on your printer's settings page.

Note: HP+ cannot be turned off manually from the user interface. You’ll need to contact HP Phone Support to request deactivation. if the troubleshooting steps do not help.

  • Provide your printer’s details (serial number and model) and ask them to deactivate the HP+ service. Once processed, you'll receive confirmation that HP+ is deactivated.

Keep me posted for further assistance
