Hi @MikeNailard,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Getting your new HP printer connected to Wi-Fi is usually straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Prepare Your Network

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz (most HP printers support both).
  • Ensure your router is working and you know the network name (SSID) and password.

Step 2: Place the Printer

  • Position the printer within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Avoid walls or interference from other devices.

Step 3: Use the Printer’s Control Panel

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. On the printer screen, go to: Setup → Network → Wireless Setup Wizard.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  4. Wait for the printer to confirm the connection.

Step 4: Install HP App

Step 5: Print a Test Page

  • Once connected, print a Network Configuration Page from the printer menu to confirm Wi-Fi status.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
