Officejet 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I used to have an Officejet 6600 and it started putting up this annoying message on start up. I uninstalled and installed the  software lots of times, with no effect. I've now uninstalled the printer and got another, but I still get this message. How do i get rid of it?Capture.JPG

@Tombar1

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.

Here you go:

  • Error message "HP Status BL.dll” – module not found

Printer has been uninstalled / removed – error message persists

Solution provided by  ShlomiL (Paraphrased):

  • Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)
  • Type (copy and paste) into the address bar and press Enter:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

  • Delete (drag to Trash) the monitor ink alerts shortcut to the non-existing printer

Example Path to Program Startup folder:

C:\Users\DragonWing\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Hi Copier-Pro,

Thanks for the reply. I've run both Glary Utilities and jv16 Powertools on the Registry and still get it. I've no idea where to look manually in teh Registry. Strangely, HP Automatic Detect of printer finds the old one (Officejet 6600), which is no longer installed, but not the new one (Officejet 6960 - OK, I'm stupid - I bought another HP one! :-))
