I puschased a new HP Laser MFP 179 and tried to log into the printer using the default ID and password I could find. This does not work. How can I find my new printer's ID and password, or how can I reset it?

Hi @AD10001,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Follow the below steps to locate the WPS PIN Code for your printer model by printing a Network Configuration Report:
With previous firmware versions, the default username is admin (all lowercase) and the default password is blank
With the latest printer firmware, the default username remains admin (all lowercase), but the password is the WPS PIN Number.
To locate the WPS PIN Number, print a Network Configuration Report and locate the PIN Number within the WPS Information section.
Here is how to print a Network Configuration Report report for the different HP Laser printer models:

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
