- How do I install the scanner driver for PhotoSmart C4780?

Looks like the scanner driver is no longer available. There's seems to be no way to install it through Windows.
When I run "Print&Scan Doctor" it tells me to "install full software solution". However when I click the "Get Installer" button I get error 404.
I know there's a driver that's compatible with windows 10, because scanning worked fine on my old computer with windows 10. Of course on that computer I installed the driver before HP software turned into a pumpkin.
Is there a way to download and install the driver somehow? I don't need the "full software solution", the scanner driver is all I need.
I currently only use this device as a scanner, so if I can't install the driver the device goes to trash.

Welcome to the HP User Community.
The full driver printer software is no longer available.
HP has removed the software.
Why? Removal is likely due to age, compatibility with latest versions of Windows, and continuing unresolved security issues.

Doctor cannot find software!
The Doctor does not understand the situation - its behavior is a result of there not being a clean way for the program to exit when there is no software to be found. What? The Doctor program cannot find the software and the code does not know what to do about missing software. Yes, it would be better if the Doctor could provide a nice clean error message.
What to do?
Install the Windows Print Drivers as described:
HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver)
Scan? See Section FAQ > How do I use the printer functions with the built-in driver?
"I currently only use this device as a scanner, so if I can't install the driver the device goes to trash."
If it is indeed time to get rid of the printer, please do check whether it can be sent to a community recycle center as opposed to having the hardware dumped in a local landfill in your neighborhood. Remember to remove and recycle the ink cartridges separately from the printer hardware.

Thanks for the response, but like I already said in the original post drivers installed by Windows don't allow scanning. I tried "Windows Fax and Scan" like the FAQ says, but the app doesn't see the scanner.
