Envy 5032
Microsoft Windows Vista

I've bought an Envy 5032 printer and am struggling to install on my old compaq with Windows Vista. I'm hoping the software cd will do the trick.  I can't find how to order it from www.support.hp.com.  Nightmare!  Can you help please?

Hi,

A CD is not available for purchase, but below software should install the printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/EN5000/EN5000_Full_WebPack_44.4.2678.exe

Additionally, is it a Windows Vista 32 or 64-bit? be aware that the printer is only supported on Windows Vista 32-bit, 64-bit support is only offered for Windows 7 or later operating systems:

Thanks for replying.  I'm rubbish at all of this so...

- I can't download the web pack exe. Just fails but I will try again.  (Once Ive dried my tears).

- My Windows Vista is 32-bit.  At least I successfully looked that up.

- the documentation with the new printer says "Note for Windows users: You may also order a printer software CD. Please visit www.support.hp.com".  I've visited ...but every time I put in what I need it takes me to a download!  Can't find a general contact email anywhere so I can I ask for this.  I presume it's free.  HELP.

- I can see the printer (as I set it up manually) but just can't add it.  When trying to add wirelessly my computer asks for permission to continue and then eventually says: Printer installation failed. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000043).  It offers an alternative option is to Add  Local printer but the HP Envy Series 5000, unsurprisingly given the age of my computer and Vista software is not listed .....so it asks you TO LOAD FROM CD.

Back to square one 😪
