Hi @LezlieJW,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to remove a printer from the HP Smart app on your Windows PC, follow these steps:
Open HP Smart: Launch the HP Smart app on your Windows PC.
Access Printer Settings:
- On the home screen of the HP Smart app, you'll see the printers that are currently set up.
- Click on the printer you want to remove to open its settings.
Remove Printer:
- In the printer settings screen, look for an option that says "Printer Settings" or "Remove Printer".
- Click on "Remove Printer". You might need to confirm this action.
Confirmation:
- A confirmation dialog may appear asking if you're sure you want to remove the printer. Confirm the action.
If the HP Smart app does not provide a clear option to remove the printer, you can try the following alternative method:
Alternative Method via Windows Settings
Open Windows Settings:
- Click on the Start menu and then on the gear icon to open Settings.
- Alternatively, press Windows + I on your keyboard.
Navigate to Devices:
- In the Settings window, click on "Devices".
Printers & Scanners:
- In the Devices menu, select "Printers & scanners" from the left-hand side.
Select and Remove Printer:
- Find the printer you want to remove from the list of installed printers.
- Click on the printer and then click on "Remove device".
- Confirm the removal.
This process should remove the printer from your HP Smart app as well since it is no longer available in the system's list of printers. If you continue to face issues, you may need to update the HP Smart app or reinstall it to ensure all settings are refreshed.
