Welcome to the HP English Community --

Are you asking about the embedded Security PIN?

If yes, then

True - The security PIN cannot be removed.

User Guide - HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e Series

Search the document for " PIN " (spaces front and back)

Yeah, but...

  • You can change the PIN number to make it easier to type
  • You can add the PIN number to your password manager for your browser -- doing so can at least make it easier to use EWS when you are using a supported browser that can manage your passwords.

What else?

Write the PIN number down on a piece of paper and stick the paper where you can see it.

Yes, I know:  "Never write down security codes."

Bleh - Decide whether you need to care - Perhaps hide the paper from nosy people.

After you've typed the PIN a few dozen times, it might be a tiny bit less irritating.

The intention of the PIN is to help keep your printer safe -

Security is a usually good thing even if you don't need or want your printer to be safe.
