My HP Officejet Pro 9015 printer is in some sort of loop and I need to reset it, unless someone can help me stopping the loop.  It's either letting me know that it's "printing an alignment page"  or shutting down.  Both processes do not complete.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I figured the bst thing to do was set it back to factory defaults and reinstall it on both computers using it.

I understand the printer is stuck in a loop. Let us try these steps:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Complete the alignment process:

Follow the steps mentioned in this document - Alignment errors

 

If this does not help, I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.  

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

Had a tech come in and diagnosed the problem as an Instant Ink problem.. Instead of calling tech support for this, I uninstalled the cartridges and replaced them with store-bought ones.  No problems now.  Will unenroll with the program.
