I'm also trying to do the same. All of a sudden the print carriage stopped working, I opened the door to change 2 cartridges, cyan and yellow, put 2 Brand new original HP as I'm subscribed to the ink program, close the door, wait and the printer tells me that the magenta also needs to be changed, I opened the door again and nothing happens since. I hope a.reset will solve the problem.

I too don’t understand why this information is not provided by HP on their website for support. I have the exact same printer everyone else is messaging you about.
Please send me the directions as well thank youI have the exact same printer everyone else is messaging you about.

The reset instructions are not mentioned on the HP Support site because of the below reason:
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

This is a hardware issue. Resetting the printer will not help.
Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Carriage jam or E3 error
Also, check for any paper jams - Paper Jam Error
