HP Recommended

I just purchased a refurbished MFP M635. I cannot acces the software as I do not know the old password. How do I reset the printer to the actual old password?   The access code is also not on the printer in the notes.

You will need to enter the preboot mode and perform a partial clean, which I would recommend in any case to clear all the previous owner's data. Turn the printer off. Power on and watch the control panel, an HP logo will appear on the screen, when you see 1/8 appear at the bottom of the screen IMMEDIATELY touch the logo once. Printer will come up with a blue DOS like screen. Go the the administrator sub-menu and select partial clean, confirm, nothing will appear to happen but then use the back arrow to get back to the main screen and select continue. Device will restart and a fresh operating system will be installed from an onboard backup.
