Hi CP2025-_
To reset the password on your HP LaserJet Pro 3301 printer, follow these steps:
1. Access Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Ensure your printer is connected to the network.
- On your computer, open a web browser.
- Type the printer’s IP address into the browser’s address bar and press Enter.
2. Log In to the Embedded Web Server
- On the EWS page, you may be prompted to log in. If you already have the admin credentials, enter them.
3. Navigate to Security Settings
- Once logged in, go to the Security tab.
4. Change or Reset Password
- Look for Password Settings or Administrator Settings.
- You should have options to change or reset the password.
5. Follow On-screen Instructions
- Enter the new password and confirm it.
- Save the settings.
6. Restart Printer
- Restarting the printer might be necessary to apply the new settings.
If you have forgotten the existing password and need to reset it to the factory default settings:
Factory Reset
Turn Off the Printer
- Ensure the printer is completely powered off.
Turn On the Printer
- Power on the printer and wait for it to initialize.
Access Service Menu
- Depending on your model, you may need to press a sequence of buttons to access the service menu. Typically it's:
- On the printer’s control panel, press the Home button.
- Navigate to Setup.
- Depending on your model, you may need to press a sequence of buttons to access the service menu. Typically it's:
Perform Factory Reset
- Navigate to Service > Restore Defaults or Factory Reset.
- Confirm the action.
After performing the factory reset, your printer’s settings (including the password) will be restored to default. You can then set a new password by following the steps in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
I hope the above is helpful
