Hi CP2025-_

To reset the password on your HP LaserJet Pro 3301 printer, follow these steps:

1. Access Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the network.
  • On your computer, open a web browser.
  • Type the printer’s IP address into the browser’s address bar and press Enter.

2. Log In to the Embedded Web Server

  • On the EWS page, you may be prompted to log in. If you already have the admin credentials, enter them.

3. Navigate to Security Settings

  • Once logged in, go to the Security tab.

4. Change or Reset Password

  • Look for Password Settings or Administrator Settings.
  • You should have options to change or reset the password.

5. Follow On-screen Instructions

  • Enter the new password and confirm it.
  • Save the settings.

6. Restart Printer

  • Restarting the printer might be necessary to apply the new settings.

If you have forgotten the existing password and need to reset it to the factory default settings:

Factory Reset

  1. Turn Off the Printer

    • Ensure the printer is completely powered off.
  2. Turn On the Printer

    • Power on the printer and wait for it to initialize.
  3. Access Service Menu

    • Depending on your model, you may need to press a sequence of buttons to access the service menu. Typically it's:
      • On the printer’s control panel, press the Home button.
      • Navigate to Setup.
  4. Perform Factory Reset

    • Navigate to Service > Restore Defaults or Factory Reset.
    • Confirm the action.

After performing the factory reset, your printer’s settings (including the password) will be restored to default. You can then set a new password by following the steps in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

I hope the above is helpful
