I understand your HP Smart Tank 7300 printer not printing from your iPhone 16 after the iOS 26.3 update and asking for a firmware/software update. Let’s go through a few checks.

Update the Printer Firmware from the Printer Menu

  • Make sure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  • On the printer control panel, tap Setup (gear icon).
  • Select Printer Maintenance or Printer Update.
  • Tap Check for Updates.
  • If an update appears, select Install and wait for the printer to restart.

Note: Firmware updates add compatibility improvements and bug fixes for devices and apps.

Update Firmware Using a Computer

  • On a computer, open a web browser.
  • Go to the HP drivers page for the HP Smart Tank 7300 series.
  • Select your operating system.
  • Download the latest Firmware or Full Feature Software.
  • Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions to update the printer.

Update the HP App on the iPhone

  • Open the App Store on the iPhone.
  • Search for the HP app.
  • Tap Update if it appears.
  • Open the app and confirm your HP Smart Tank 7300 printer is added.
  • Try printing again.

Reconnect the Printer to the iPhone

  • On the printer, open Wireless Settings.
  • Confirm the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone.
  • Restart the printer and the iPhone.
  • Open the document on the iPhone and tap Share > Print.
  • Select your HP Smart Tank 7300 printer again.

If the issue continues after the update, tell me exactly what message appears on the iPhone when you try to print, and I can guide the next steps.
